Our course will be a residential building which will be divided into 3 parts: –
A- Part one (PT Slab design on ETABS and RAM Concept)

B- Part 2 (Composite slab design on ETABS)

C- Part 3 we will design the roof slab as non-composite beams.

Our course will be a residential building which will be divided into 3 parts: –
A- Part one (PT Slab design on ETABS and RAM Concept)
1-Select the appropriate system for the slab ( we will discuss about major PT slabs systems according to PTI)

2-Tendons Layout limitations (maximum, minimum and traditional spacing….

3- Define tendons on ETABS.
4-Define prestressing force and losses on ETABS.
5-Draw Tendons on ETABS.
6- Check PT design on ETABS (Stresses, strength, …. etc.)

7-Check Diaphragm Design on ETABS.
8- Create RAM Concept model for the same slab.

9- Export slab to SAFE and compare results between all programs.

10- Show design on dwg and special sections should be added for all PT Slabs.

B- Part 2 (Composite slab design on ETABS)

1-Composite beams manual design.

2- Considerations for design of composite slabs.
3- Define and design of fully composite girders on ETABS.

4- Define and design of partially composite beams.

5-Design connections between steel beams and concrete walls.
6- Design of connections between steel beams

7-Design of steel columns on ETABS

8- Design of base plates (theory and on program)

9- Design of embed plates
10- Check vibration of composite steel beams on Etabs.
11-Check Diaphragm design for composite sab

11- Show design on dwg and special sections should be added for all composite beams floors.

 

C- Part 3 we will design the roof slab as non-composite beams.

Codes will be used: ACI 314-14 & AISC 360
Programs: ETABS, Ram Concept, Hilti, RAM Connection, Hilti
It will be 30 to 30 lecture
